What you can dive here with your certification

The Mexican Caribbean has an advantage almost no destination offers: in a single week you can dive an underwater museum, a wreck, a wall reef, freshwater cenotes and bull sharks. Without changing base.

With Open Water you already have access to most of the catalogue: MUSA, the Punta Cancun and Puerto Morelos reefs, the C-56 wreck, night diving, Cozumel drift dives, cavern cenotes like Dos Ojos or 7 Bocas, and bull shark observation in season.

Advanced opens the deep sites: The Pit and its hydrogen sulphide cloud, Zapote and the Hell's Bells, the Cancun wreck at twenty-four metres and the bull shark feeding dive.

What we ask before you get in the water

Two things, and neither is negotiable. First, a valid certification — bring your physical or digital card. Second, a dive within the last six months. If it has been longer, no problem: we run a same-day refresher in shallow water so you go in with fresh skills and correct weighting.

This is not bureaucracy. A diver three years out of the water dropping straight into a deep cenote is a risk to themselves and the group. Half an hour of review solves it.

How we choose the site each day

We do not publish a fixed site calendar, because the sea does not work that way. Every morning we look at wind, current, swell and visibility, and decide. A strong norther closes Punta Cancun but leaves the cenotes perfect. Flat seas in Cozumel are the chance to run Palancar instead of a shallow reef.

More than twelve years reading this sea is part of what you are booking alongside the tank.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much is a 2-tank dive in Cancun?
From MX$2,400 per person in Cancun and Puerto Morelos, MX$2,500 in Playa del Carmen and MX$2,900 in Cozumel. Cenotes start at MX$3,900 and bull sharks at MX$3,500.
What if I haven't dived in over 6 months?
We run a same-day refresher before the trip: skill review in shallow water, weighting adjustment and buoyancy control. Then you dive as normal.
Is equipment included?
Yes on every trip except the Playa del Carmen reef dive, where gear is quoted separately. If you bring your own, tell us when booking.
Can I dive with an SSI, NAUI or CMAS certification?
Yes. We accept any internationally recognised certification; we just need to see the card and know your level and recent experience.

“Excellent experience! Rene is a brilliant guide — you can tell he loves what he does and passes on his passion for the sea and marine life at every moment. His instructions and dive plan before every dive make you feel safe and let you enjoy the flora and fauna even more. Highly recommended, I already want to plan new dive trips!”
