PADI diving courses in Cancun

Why certify here specifically

You can do your Open Water in a pool at home and a cold lake with two metres of visibility. Or you can do it in the Mexican Caribbean, in 27-degree water, with thirty metres of visibility and a reef full of turtles as your classroom.

The course costs the same. The difference is that one ends with a card, and the other ends with a card and four dives you will actually remember. Conditions here are also good enough that students progress faster: less cold, less stress, more attention on what matters.

Open Water or Advanced: which one is yours

PADI Open Water Diver is the starting point and requires nothing beforehand. When you finish you can dive with a buddy to eighteen metres, anywhere in the world, for life. It takes 2–3 days: digital theory you can start from home, pool practice and four open water dives.

PADI Advanced Open Water is for divers who already hold the Open Water. There are no exams — you learn across five adventure dives. It qualifies you to thirty metres and, in practice, unlocks the best of this area: The Pit, Zapote, the Cancun wreck and the bull shark feeding dive.

With a week available, you can chain both and leave Advanced certified.

How we run our courses

Small groups, always. A dive course with eight students per instructor is not a course, it is a queue. Here the instructor can correct your buoyancy on the spot, see whether you are equalising properly and notice discomfort before it becomes a problem.

PADI digital materials reach you before the trip so you can start the theory from home. Every hour of theory done on the plane is another hour in Caribbean water.

We agree the location with you: Cancun, Puerto Morelos or Playa del Carmen, based on dates, sea conditions and where you are staying.
