Do I need certification to dive in Cancun?
No. With the Discover Scuba Diving programme you dive for the first time without certification, with a PADI instructor beside you throughout. If you are already certified, we run twelve different trips for Open Water and Advanced divers.
How much experience do you have diving in Cancun?
Scuba & Adventours has been operating in Cancun since 2020 and we have guided more than 8,000 divers, with a 5.0 rating from 222 Google reviews. Our PADI instructors have been diving this coast for over twelve years: we live here and dive these sites every week.
How much does diving in Cancun cost?
A 2-tank trip for certified divers starts at MX$2,400 per person, with guide, equipment and fees included. A first dive without certification starts at MX$2,800 and the PADI Open Water course at MX$9,000.
When is the best time to dive the Mexican Caribbean?
Diving runs all year, with water between 25 and 29 °C. Whale sharks are May to September and bull sharks November to March. Cenotes are in perfect condition twelve months a year.
What do I need to bring?
Swimsuit, towel, reef-safe biodegradable sunscreen and your certification card if you are a certified diver. Full equipment is included on virtually all of our trips.
Is cenote diving safe?
Yes. We always dive the cavern zone, within reach of natural light, with a permanent guideline and a specialist guide. We do not offer cave diving as a recreational activity.
