How the day works, step by step
- Meeting point. Marina Aquafun, Hotel Zone. Check-in and gear fitting.
- Briefing. Dive plan, drift entry, group positioning and signals.
- Dive 1. Main Punta Cancun reef: swim-throughs, formations and coral gardens with the current behind you, at an approximate depth of 14–17 metres depending on the site and the day's conditions.
- Surface interval. Water on board while we reposition for the second site.
- Dive 2. Second dive on a different Punta Cancun reef, at an approximate depth of 14–17 metres, exploring another area with different coral formations and marine life.
- Return. Back to the marina and gear rinse. Total duration around 4 hours.

Frequently asked questions
Is drift diving difficult?
No. At Punta Cancun the current is gentle and works in your favour: you let it carry you and the boat picks you up wherever you surface. It actually uses less air than swimming.
How is it different from the MUSA dive?
MUSA is a sculpture gallery at nine metres — still and photogenic. Punta Cancun is living reef, between 14 and 17 metres, with more movement and bigger fish.
Can I do MUSA and Punta Cancun on the same day?
Yes. Both experiences can be combined in one day. The Punta Cancun trip runs in the morning and MUSA can follow around midday, subject to availability and operating conditions. Message us and we will plan the correct depth profile.
How much does a two-tank dive in Cancun cost?
This trip is US$145 per person and includes both dives, a certified guide, full equipment and the marina and conservation fees. Booking direct with us means you do not pay the booking platforms' commission.
