Snorkelling in Cabo Pulmo: the World's Aquarium from the surface

5.0★ · 242 Google reviews

Cabo Pulmo's walls of jacks start just a few metres below the surface. No tank and no certification needed: with a mask, a vest and a guide beside you they look just as good, and the trip stops at three or four different sites.

What makes this dive different

  • A boat trip around 3 or 4 snorkelling sites inside the park
  • The schools of jacks, visible from the surface
  • Snorkel gear, life vest and park access included
  • A guide with you throughout, setting the time in the water
  • Ages 8 and up: the family trip in Cabo Pulmo
  • Two time slots a day

How the day works, step by step

  1. Meeting point and check-in. We meet at Cabo Pulmo Travel at 8:00 or 12:30, local time.
  2. Set-up. Snorkel gear and life vest are handed out. The guide explains the route and how to look after the reef.
  3. Boat ride. We head for the sites selected according to the day's conditions.
  4. Snorkel stops. Three to four sites are explored when conditions allow, with breaks to rest, drink water and have the snack.
  5. Return. Back to the departure point. Total duration around 3 hours.

“I had an excellent experience with Scuba & Adventours Mexico starting my PADI Open Water Diver certification. Everything was explained very clearly and all my questions were answered along the way. Instructor René has a real talent for explaining things simply and clearly.”

“My first time in the diving world! I'm so grateful because my experience with Scuba was incredible — the support and professionalism of René, Delfina and captain Larry make you feel safe at every step. I'll definitely be back with them to certify.”

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a diving certification?
No. Snorkelling happens at the surface and requires no certification at all.
Can children come?
Yes, from age 8. Everyone wears a life vest throughout the trip.
How many sites do you visit?
Three to four. The number and the selection depend on conditions in the area and on the group: safety outranks the itinerary.
Is park access included?
Yes, it is in the price, along with the snorkel gear and the life vest.
Does it include hotel pick-up?
No. You need to reach the meeting point in Cabo Pulmo. The boat transfer during the activity is included, and we can quote transport to get there separately.
What happens if the weather is bad or the port closes?
If conditions or a port closure prevent the trip, the full amount is refunded. There is no small print on this one.
