One of the most common questions from visitors to the Mexican Caribbean is whether you can dive without taking a course. The short answer is yes: with Discover Scuba Diving you can enjoy your first dive safely and guided, with no prior certification.

What is Discover Scuba Diving?

It is a program for people without certification or experience who want to dive for the first time accompanied by a PADI instructor. It is not a course with exams: it is a safe introductory experience.

What is a Discover Scuba day like?

Minimum age: 10 years. No previous experience required, but you should be comfortable in the water and have no medical contraindications.

What if I want to get certified?

The next step is the PADI Open Water Diver course, which lets you dive independently to 18 meters. Many start with a Discover Scuba and come back to certify.
